Understanding Feelings and Emotions

The Soul

The soul (the principle of life, feeling, thought, and action in humans, regarded as a distinct entity separate from the body, and commonly held to be separable in existence from the body; the spiritual part of humans as distinct from the physical part; the emotional part of human nature; the seat of the feelings or sentiments; the disembodied spirit of a deceased person) must be nourished and care for adequately for its prosperity, so that one may prosper in all things and be in health.

For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul? (Matthew 16:26)

Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers. (3rd John 1:2)

let him know that he who turns a sinner from the error of his way will save a soul from death and cover a multitude of sins. (James 5:20)

The Mind and The Heart

The mind (the brain and intellectual processing center), and the heart (the emotional center and receptacle for intuition, or the ability to perceive or know things without conscious reasoning), work together to obtain true awareness (knowledge or cognizance of a person, place, or thing).

Jesus answered him, “The first of all the commandments is: ‘Hear, O Israel, the LORD our God, the LORD is one. (Mark 12:29)

And you shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.  This is the first commandment. (Mark 12:30)

And the second, like it, is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.”  (Mark 12:31)

“The heart is deceitful above all things,  And desperately wicked;  Who can know it?  (Jeremiah 17:9)

I, the LORD, search the heart, I test the mind,  Even to give every man according to his ways,  According to the fruit of his doings. (Jeremiah 17:10)

And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. (Romans 12:2)

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; (Philippians 4:6)

and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:7)

Think Soberly and Not High-Mindly

Pride goes before destruction, And a haughty spirit before a fall. (Proverbs 16:18)

A proud and haughty man—“Scoffer” is his name; He acts with arrogant pride. (Proverbs 21:24)

For as he thinks in his heart, so is he. “ Eat and drink!” he says to you, But his heart is not with you. (Proverbs 23:7)

Do you see a man wise in his own eyes? There is more hope for a fool than for him. (Proverbs 26:12)

For I say, through the grace given to me, to everyone who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly, as God has dealt to each one a measure of faith. (Romans 12:3)

If anyone among you thinks he is religious, and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his own heart, this one’s religion is useless. (James 1:26)

Circumstances and Situations

Circumstances (existing conditions or state of affairs surrounding and affecting a person, as it relate to income, material wealth, health, ect.) and situations (manners of being situated or positioned with reference to environment, health, and /or finance; state of affairs; combination of circumstances) continuously constitute a person's life, whether they be positive or negative.

What matters most of all is how we handle our trials and tribulation (circumstances and situations), because they're going to come.

Obedience to God protects us as believers from sinful behavior practices that are continuously manifested by the disobedient (sinners who do not know God and believers who practice unrighteousness).

For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, (2nd Corinthians 10:4)

casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, (2nd Corinthians 10:5)

and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled. (2nd Corinthians 10:6)

Outbursts of wrath and other forms of retaliation do do produce the righteous of God, but rather, manifests the will of the devil, which does not glorify God in our spirit and in our body.

For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s. (1st Corinthians 6:20)

Of His own will He brought us forth by the word of truth, that we might be a kind of firstfruits of His creatures. (James 1:18)

So then, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath; (James 1:19)

for the wrath of man does not produce the righteousness of God. (James 1:20)

However, holding one's tongue, trying to understand the other person's position, and leaving vindication to God demonstrates godly love in tense situations and/or circumstances.

Vengeance is Mine, and recompense;Their foot shall slip in due time; For the day of their calamity is at hand, And the things to come hasten upon them.’ (Deuteronomy 32:35)

Beloved, do not avenge yourselves, but rather give place to wrath; for it is written, “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,” says the Lord. (Romans 12:19)

And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity. The tongue is so set among our members that it defiles the whole body, and sets on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire by hell. (James 3:6)

But he who does wrong will be repaid for what he has done, and there is no partiality. (Colossians 3:25)

The Works of the Flesh

Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, (Galatians 5:19)

idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, (Galatians 5:20)

envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. (Galatians 5:21)

So then, those who are in the flesh cannot please God. (Romans 8:8)

But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts. (Romans 13:14)

I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. (Galatians 5:16)

The Eyes Reveal The Soul

From my personal experience, the eyes reveal the soul.  There is something about evilness that cannot be concealed when confronted eye to eye.  When a person is unable to respond eye to eye and need to disconnect such contact, he or she knows that their true identity is being exposed.

Deceivers and liars have no built in security against this truth system, and when the Spirit is exposing them, they are filled with fear and trembling and will always result to some way  that will give them an opportunity to escape in discontinuing the eye contact and conversation at hand.

One's sense of insecurity, or unacceptance, or rejection, and the like are all weapons utilized by hypocrites, particular those in positions of power and authority to prostitute the name of Jesus by playing on the weakness of the flesh of those whom they've taken captive to submit to them and follow their lead and not another.

The truth is something they have no defense against, however, as long as one remains ignorant of the truth, wherein, refusing to let in in and to  practice it, one will remain a victim and continue in the captivity state which he or she was lured into.

For we can do nothing against the truth, but for the truth. (2nd Corinthians 13:8)

Where there is no counsel, the people fall; But in the multitude of counselors there is safety. (Proverbs 11:14)

There is no wisdom or understanding Or counsel against the LORD. (Proverbs 21:30)

Feelings and Emotions

A feeling can be defined as an internal response part of an emotion, or an internal manifestation of an external manifestation, whether verbally or physically.

However, what one is truly feeling internally is not always what one manifests externally. A feeling is always realized, but may or may not be acted upon in accordance with how one truly feels.

Nevertheless, feelings concerning a certain matter are both realized and recognized by the person being affected, whether positive or negative.

An emotion can be defined as an external response part of a feeling, or an external manifestation of an internal manifestation, whether verbally or physically.

However, an external manifestation is not always a true manifestation to an internal response or feeling, because of certain factors (such as the fruit of the Spirit or the works of the flesh) that may be employed by the one affected.

Nevertheless, uncontrolled emotions, for the most part, clearly represent what one is truly feeling within.

Feelings Explored

Feelings can be deceiving and desperately wicked, therefore it is not wise to always respond to how one truly feels.

All the ways of a man are pure in his own eyes, But the LORD weighs the spirits. (Proverbs 16:2)

For as he thinks in his heart, so is he. “ Eat and drink!” he says to you, But his heart is not with you. (Proverbs 23:7)

The heart of the righteous studies how to answer, But the mouth of the wicked pours forth evil. (Proverbs 15:28)

Feelings are the products of our circumstances and situations, which constitute our life's journey.  Now then, the challenge, however, is when, how, and where one should respond to such feelings.

Feelings are the seeds that produce our emotions, whether or not those feelings are cultivated before the produce is generated.

Where cultivation has taken place, negative feelings that would have generated bad fruit are transformed into positive feelings that generate good fruit.

These positive results are by choice, that is, one's desire to restrain oneself and employ the self-control principle; and whether or not feelings go through a cultivation process, they are the seeds of our emotions.

For thus says the LORD to the men of Judah and Jerusalem: “ Break up your fallow ground, And do not sow among thorns. (Jeremiah 4:3)

Sow for yourselves righteousness; Reap in mercy; Break up your fallow ground, For it is time to seek the LORD, Till He comes and rains righteousness on you. (Hosea 10:12)

Now the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace. (James 3:18)

Feelings are certainly nature, built in sensations that we all have and are completely unavoidable in one's life experience.  Some are pleasant and others are rather unpleasant.

Some pleasant feelings are happiness, joy, love, and satisfaction, and some unpleasant feelings are loneliness, rejection, sadness and dissatisfaction.

Emotions Explored

Emotions, whether verbal or physical, are part of the expression of the personality, whereas, feelings are the true and sincere expression of the heart, which are the seeds that produce emotions.

However, the produce of the heart can be altered or cultivated into good produce when a clean heart and right spirit are utilized rather than an evil heart and wrong spirit.

Create in me a clean heart, O God,
And renew a steadfast spirit within me. (Psalm 51:10)

Do not cast me away from Your presence, And do not take Your Holy Spirit from me. (Psalm 51:11)

Seedtime and Harvest

“While the earth remains,Seedtime and harvest, Cold and heat, Winter and summer, And day and night Shall not cease.” (Genesis 8:22)

Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. (Galatians 6:7)

For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life. (Galatians 6:8)

For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. (Romans 8:6)

Lust of the flesh is the seed that produces sexual immoralities; lust of the eyes is the seed that produces covetousness and greediness; pride is the seed that produces arrogance, selfish ambition and envy;

love is the seed that produces love; joy is the seed that produces joy; peace is the seed that produces peace; longsuffering is the seed that produces longsuffering;

kindness is the seed that produces kindness; goodness is the seed that produces goodness; faithfulness is the seed that produces faithfulness;

gentleness is the seed that produces gentleness; self-control is the seed that produces self-control.

Righteous seeds produce righteous emotional practices, whereas, unrighteous seeds produce unrighteous emotional practices.

Negative feelings (seeds) cultivated by  positive feelings (seeds), in spite of the situation and/or circumstance will produce godly emotions that glorify God.

Carefully considering a matter before responding certainly creates opportunity to respond in a timely and appropriate manner, which should always be our objective.

Liars and Deceivers

Now I urge you, brethren, note those who cause divisions and offenses, contrary to the doctrine which you learned, and avoid them. (Romans 16:17)

For those who are such do not serve our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly, and by smooth words and flattering speech deceive the hearts of the simple. (Romans 16:18)

For your obedience has become known to all. Therefore I am glad on your behalf; but I want you to be wise in what is good, and simple concerning evil. (Romans 16:19)

Those who lie and deceive can easily be detected and exposed when we trust the guidance and revelation of God's Holy Spirit, which those who deceive cannot stand, but have no choice of tolerating against their will.

Truth is deceivers worst enemy; therefore, it's understandable why deceivers try desperately to keep the truth from those whom they're deceiving by continuously brain-washing them with lies (the foundation of their existance).

The Holy Spirit truly is deceivers worst enemy.  Liars and deceivers want nothing to do with the Holy Spirit.

Pimps and Manasans (Madams)

Pimps (male fleshmongers or panders) and Madams (female fleshmongers or panders) find and manage clients for prostitutes and engage them in prostitution in order to profit from their sexual immorality earnings.

Pimps and madams often present themselves as lovers and/or father/mother figures before introducing their captives to prostitution and drug/alcohol additions, which reflect their true motive and deceptionThe pimp/madam-prostitute relationship is often abusive, with the pimp/madam using psychological intimidation, manipulation and physical force to control the prostitutes in their stables.

The pimps recognize a hierarchy among themselves. The least respected, or newer pimps, are the "popcorn pimps", "wanna-bes", and "hustlers".   A pimp who uses violence and intimidation to control his prostitutes is called a "gorilla pimp," while those pimps that use psychological trickery to deceive the younger prostitutes into becoming hooked into the system are called "finesse pimps."  Lastly, the successful and established pimps are called "players."

Religious Prostitution

Religious prostitution, sacred prostitution or temple prostitution is the practice of having sexual intercourse  (with a person other than one's spouse) for a religious or sacred purpose.  A woman engaged in such practices is sometimes called a temple prostitute or hierodule, though modern connotations of the term prostitute may or may not be appropriate, given the religious and cultic signification of the activities.

Prostituting the Name of Jesus

Prostitution is the sale of sexual services (examples: oral sex, sexual intercourse) for money and the like.  A person selling sexual services is a prostitute, a type of sex worker.  In a more general sense of the word, anyone selling their services for a cause thought to be unworthy can be described as prostituting themselves.

Satan has all types of religious hustlers and/or pimps/madams, including, but not limited to television, radio, internet, authors, video producers, inventors of all types of evil things to promote his unrighteousness as righteousness so that the moral and ethical fiber of mankind may be broken down and ultimately destroyed, which is exactly what the New Age Movement is all about.

Even in churches where mainstream Christianity traditions have been practiced, Satan has infiltrated (pentrated gradually and stealthily) to attack or seize control from within by soliciting (enticing or inciting evil or illegal action) those in positions of authority and influence to exchange their souls for money (a form of prostitution), which many leaders have accepted and justified their evil acts as righteousness for the love of money.

There is no true love involved at all by these hypocrites or con artists who care nothing for the soul, but is all about the money.  Everything having an appearance of righteousness that they present to those whom they've taken captive is absolutely counterfeit and a sham (something that is not what it purports to be; a spurious imitation; fraud or hoax), in particular, but not limited to that of love and of peace; "it's, is false to the core."

Pulpit Hustlers and/or Pimps/Madams

Pulpit hustlers and/or religious pimps/madams have serious problems and attitudes when confronted with the truth, because they're liars in conflict with the Holy Spirit.  You're not really the problem as they might want you to believe, they're the real problem operating in areas they're not authorized.  The more people come to the knowledge of the truth and operate therein, the less people these hustlers and/or religious pimps/madams have to deceive and rob out of their monies and properties.

My eyes are ever toward the LORD, For He shall pluck my feet out of the net. (Psalm 25:15)

Let integrity and uprightness perserve me, For I wait for You. (Psalm 25:21)

I will set nothing wicked before my eyes; I hate the work of those who fall away; It shall not cling to me. (Psalm 101:3)

A perverse heart shall depart from me; I will not know wickedness. (Psalm 101:4)

For the LORD is good; His mercy is everlasting, And His truth endures to all generations. (Psalm 100:5)

Trust in the LORD with all your heart,  And lean not on your own understanding; (Proverbs 3:5)

In all your ways acknowledge Him,  And He shall direct your paths. (Proverbs 3:6)
